They help businesses adopt, optimise and maintain cloud-based systems to manage data and applications more effectively and securely. Key responsibilities include assessing business needs, defining solutions as well as implementing and managing them. Industries widely utilising Cloud Consultants range from technology and finance to healthcare and government, basically anywhere organisations adopt cloud technologies.
Tasks and duties
- Advising clients on the adoption and selection of appropriate cloud technology solutions.
- Implementing and maintaining cloud applications, systems or platforms, for clients to facilitate their business processes.
- Conducting assessments of clients' current IT infrastructure and offering recommendations to fit cloud solutions.
- Providing technical assistance for cloud computing activities, including troubleshooting and problem-solving for applications or infrastructure.
- Gather and analyse clients' business and technical requirements to develop a cloud strategy.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of solution strategies.
- Navigating complex cloud environments to configure and optimise for performance, cost and security.
